MEMBERSHIP FEE

Starting 2022, all membership fees are due at the beginning of the year with the exception of new members. Membership renewal notices will be sent out to our members at the end of each year. We are working on streamlining the online payment and the subsequent automatic renewal.

Reasons Behind the Billing Method

  1. Save the Chamber’s resources. This method simplifies the billing process. The Chamber used to bill its members on an anniversary basis. This requires constant monitoring of different members’ status. As a result, it demands a lot more time and works on the bookkeeping throughout the year. On the other hand, billing all members just at the beginning of the year eliminates the need to keep track and send out invoices year-round. By implementing this new policy, we are confident that it will help save the Chamber’s resources.
  2. To have a realistic budget for the year

Membership fees are the main source of the Chamber’s income. Collecting the membership fees at the beginning of the year gives us a much better financial picture so that we can plan for the whole year accordingly.

Proration

For the new members who join the Chamber during the year, their membership dues will be prorated monthly for the first year. However, if anyone joins the Chamber during the last quarter of the year, they will just need to pay one full year’s membership fee, which is good until the end of next year. So there is a potential saving of 3 months worth of membership fee.

Examples

ABC Company joins the Chamber in April, ABC company will pay ¾ of the regular annual membership dues.

However, if any company joins the Chamber during the last quarter of the year, the company will just need to pay one full year’s membership fee, which is good until the end of next year. So there is a potential saving of 3 months worth of membership fee.
